REVIEW: New Minnie Sundae and Main Street Split at The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor in the Magic Kingdom

As part of Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration, a couple of fun, new Minnie Mouse-themed sundaes debuted yesterday at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor.

The Main Street Split comes with three scoops of ice cream and a banana topped with strawberry and pineapple sauces, hot fudge, Oreo cookies, and a chocolate Minnie bow. (Similar to the white chocolate bow that comes on the Minnie Mouse Whoopie Pie over at Columbia Harbor House.)

Overall, the strawberry sauce on the sundae was absolutely delicious and made the banana split everything it should be. The pineapple sauce was chunky and forgettable, though. Every other component was pretty much standard Plaza Ice Cream fare.

The Minnie Sundae features two scoops of ice cream topped with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, strawberries, Oreo cookies, and a chocolate Minnie bow.

Again, it’s your standard Plaza Ice Cream with a Minnie “overlay”, but if you’re in the mood for ice cream and are in the Magic Kingdom, why not have it come in a polka-dotted tub?
