Testing has been underway on the new Disney Skyliner for some time now. However, all the testing had been limited to the Hollywood Studios – Caribbean Beach line.

Well, I recently noticed that the Hollywood Studios line was suspiciously empty. I decided to take a trip over to one of the resorts serviced by the Skyliner to see if testing had started elsewhere. Lo and behold, I found gondolas on the Pop Century/Art of Animation line!
Pop Century and Art of Animation
They weren’t moving, but there were gondolas along the entire line.
The station itself is coming along nicely. Not a whole lot has changed since we were last here, with the obvious exception of there being gondolas in the station.
This is an approximation of what the station will look like when finished.
Here’s a map of all three lines.
I also got close enough to a couple of the gondolas to see the characters hidden underneath the tarps. We’ve seen a few characters so far, but these appear to be new to us.

Caribbean Beach
They’re making some progress on finishing up the Carribbean Beach station, as well. This is the junction point for all three lines. From here, you’ll be able to either go to Pop Century/Art of Animation, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Epcot (and eventually Disney’s Riviera Resort).
Each station matches the resort at which it’s located. This one will have an island feel.
Riviera Resort
When the upcoming Riviera Resort opens its doors, it too will have its own Disney Skyliner station. This one still has a bit of a way to go. No gondola testing has started on this line yet.
This line continues on to Epcot from here.
Are you excited for the Disney Skyliner? Would it convince you to stay at any of these resorts? Let us know in the comments.
