Thanks to our friends at Nearmap, we have an aerial look at the latest progress on Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, set to open Fall 2019. The photos were taken in November of 2018, so they are a few weeks old, but it still gives you a pretty good idea of what’s going on back there.
Some rooftops look near completion. In the lower left we see the building for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, to the right is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
As we zoom out, things are starting to look pretty solid. We can make out all of the streets and paths of Batuu waiting to be paved.
This slider allows you to see how much progress was made in the last eleven months. It’s a pretty big difference.
It would be nice if your friends over at NearMap could share images of the Tron construction given that helicopters can’t fly over Magic Kingdom.
