The holiday crowds have been rough at the Disneyland Resort Theme Parks but at least there are a bunch of new sparkly ear headbands to help up celebrate the new year (and our monorail doors stay on…)

A sunny morning in SoCal, the new Starbucks in Downtown Disney was busy.  Windows look completed at Ballast Point.

The stacks of chairs are now replaced with high chairs.

Loving the tap shaped sign.

Also pretty stoked to try this epic looking cookie shake when Black Tap opens.

Entrance for California Adventure was empty.

In case you needed sparkly ear headbands to ring in the new year Disneyland has you covered.  Racks of the new New Classic Attractions Minnie Ear Headband Spotted at Disneyland Resort are available right inside the entrance at Oswalds.

We also have pink sparkles which can also be used for Valentine’s Day.

We also have dazzling silver ears for $27.99.

And of course plenty of purple potion ears.

Sparkling Minnie Ears in two colors in case you can’t decide.

Loving these polka dot flower sparkle ears as well.

And of course miniature sparkle ears/headband for the kids.

Now that we are sparkled out let’s check out the endless crowds.

Not too bad until we see everyone is in line for Grizzly River Run.

The line for Soarin’ is wrapped around the building.

I’m with you Wendell.  Too crowded; better to just eat and enjoy time at the park.

Quick stop at Ghirardelli.

This Crissy Field sundae was the perfect pick me up.

Pacific Wharf was packed.

Even the “Little Mermaid” had a line.

Those headed to Pixar Pier for rides were about to be disappointed.

Incredicoaster was clearly not working.

Not only was the roller coaster down but so was Midway Mania.

I’d be angry too when both E-Ticket rides are not working.

This guy was happy.  He probably stopped the rides on purpose.

Both swinging and non swinging sides of the Pal-A-Round were long.

No changes to the new Inside Out ride.

Maybe Bing Bong’s will bring some joy.

Loving the unicorn socks.  Actually liking all the “Inside Out” merch.

Singing Bing Bong definitely enhances the mood.

Too much cuteness on this “Up” puzzle ($21.99) and mug.

30 min wait for the swings.

Even the jellyfish ride was drawing a crowd.

45 min wait for the Golden Zephyr.

Last stop… Cars Land to see just how crazy these crowds can get.

Luigi’s wasn’t too bad.

Nothing to see behind this wall.  RIP Bug’s Land.

I did enjoy this tiny Radiator Spring’s replica.

Yes, that is the line for Radiator Spring’s Racers.

Radiator Springs Racers had a 180 minute standby time.

Fastpass line was halfway down the street.

A cast member tries to herd the standby crowd which was wrapped well past Flo’s.

I dang near fainted with these crowds but a fun day in the park regardless.  Now go get some sparkle ears and celebrate 2019!
