A guest was handed an abandoned newborn baby early this morning at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the report, around 2 AM on Sunday morning, a guest entered the lobby of the lodge and said that an unidentified woman handed her the infant just outside the hotel. Reedy Creek firefighters were called to the scene, and the baby was brought to Celebration Hospital in good health.

Investigators with the Department of Children and Families and the Sheriff’s Office are investigating the matter. We will provide you with more information as the story develops.
