Just last week Disneyland announced that a New Pedestrian Bridge will connect the resort to the new parking structure currently under construction where the old Pinocchio parking lot sat, off of Magic Way on the North side of Disneyland Resort.
Construction is well underway on the new parking structure announced Fall of last year. Here is an updated look from the third floor of the Mickey and Friends parking structure.
Construction noise is present and workers seen even at 7:00 PM.
Trams to and from Disneyland Resort are still all on an alternate route in order to accommodate construction. Guests not using the tram are able to use the walkway to the left of the Tram loop, onto the sidewalk of Magic Way and across the crosswalk into Downtown Disney.
Construction of the new Parking Structure meets directly at the stairwell of Mickey and Friends Parking Structure.
The corner end of the new Parking Structure is visible from the sidewalk on Magic Way and Disneyland Drive. This is the general area where the new Pedestrian Bridge, according to concept art, will be.
The Pedestrian Bridge will go across Magic Way and into what is currently part of the Downtown Disney parking lot. It is not clear yet what will happen to or if the Downtown Disney parking lot will change at all. Currently nothing is closed on the other side of Magic Way where the new Pedestrian Bridge appears to lead.
The new Parking Structure and Pedestrian Bridge are slated to open sometime next year.
