With less than a year to go in Illuminations: Reflections of Earth’s nearly 20-year run, work has already begun on Epcot’s new nighttime spectacular. Electrical work is currently taking place in World Showcase Lagoon, as seen in the photos here.

The current nighttime show is scheduled to run through the end of Summer 2019. The end of the show’s run was announced in September, while construction permits for new show infrastructure were issued in July. As of the writing of this article, there’s no official announcement as to when the new show will premiere. We will keep you posted as new information is available.

  1. Whatever the show is we can guarantee it won’t be for guest enjoyment, it will be to cross promote other disney movies, or opportunities for guests to open their wallet. Illuminations a great show that could have been updated, it’s there for just the enjoyment of it. Nothing else Disney is in that category anymore.
