There’s been a lot of work happening at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Yesterday we told you about a name change to the popular table service restaurant at the resort. Today we’re here to show you how far the construction has progressed.
Work is finishing up on the main building, new roofing is being installed right now.
Sebastian’s on the right, quick-service on the left. The entire right building is a brand new build.
The new quick-service is getting a larger covered patio outside.
A closer look.
The lighthouse received a fresh coat of paint.
Banana Cabana is coming along nicely. They were testing fire alarms yesterday and we saw signage on doors that read ‘DO NOT ENTER WITH DIRTY FEET’ alluding to carpeting already being installed.
A closer look. Those are WDI hats doing a walk on the right.
Across the lake you can get a better view of Sebastian’s and Banana Cabana.
This includes the leaf cut-out in the A-frame of the building, directly from the concept art.
It’s getting there. Slowly but surely. We were told that hurricane damage from last year slowed the project down a bit.
SOON.
Any guesses on when it will be done? I know they were saying summer, which is clearly not happening. Thinking fall, or winter 2018? Good call on the carpet being done, I’ve been seeing the work outside but not a whole lot about the inside.
We are staying there late September/ Early October and were told by Disney that it will not be completed by then. Late fall possibly.
