Exactly one year after the closing of The Great Movie Ride we finally see a larger change to the exterior of the Chinese Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Disney has promised that the facade of the theater will remain largely untouched, including the entrance lobby, however everything beyond that will be altered severely. Today we found refurbishment walls up in front of the Chinese Theater. The walls will accommodate the installation of new props, as well as sprucing up entrance to the brand new Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction. You may remember there’s not a lot of queue space inside of the building, so we anticipate a majority will be outside near the side of the theater where the overflow Great Movie Ride queue was.
