Back in January we told you that Japan was building a signature steak and seafood restaurant to the side of their pavilion at Epcot. Disney confirmed the information in May, and now we have construction progressing at the pavilion. There’s plenty of walls up around the future entrance to the restaurant and now trees have been cleared.

The facade back to the right has always been shrouded in trees, until now.

From this angle, were can see that a single line of trees was left standing behind the walls.

      • Thanks, Tom!

When Mitsukoshi was under renovation, it seemed as though there was space on the first floor, to the left of the existing department store. At the time, it was largely used for overflow stock. I assumed that the new restaurant might use some of the footprint.

  1. Not criticizing the decision, but out of curiosity, was there a high demand for another restaurant in Japan?

  2. Some childish types get angry over restaurant construction. But Epcot’s all about eating & drinking for me.
With 2 pretty cool rides already on the way, bring on more places to gorge!
