Our good friend Robert Ashburn of Figmentsmedia.net has provided us with photos from his trip to the Walt Disney World Resort on Friday. Let’s take a look at some of his pictures:
Robert began the day at Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park
Some automated ticket machines outside the park
Water Park and general ticket prices
Some filming going on at the park on Friday
A Free mug with locker rental
Some wait times
Some fun reminders for those who can’t think…
More wait times
A very cool refill station tha requires you to scan your mug before a drink can be poured
Locker rental prices
A quick service menu
A Blizzard Beach mug and “Celebrate Everyday!” napkins
The Blizzard Beach tip board
The Lottawatta Lodge
An add for Winter Summerland Miniature Golf, located just outside Blizzard Beach
The festive turnstiles
The first “Celebrate Today!” sign we have seen that features all 4 of the icon balloons
Moving over to Epcot, many of the topiary characters for this year’s Flower and Garden Festival are up. Here are the Ostriches (including Mademoiselle Upanova) from Fantasia
A scene straight out of Disney’s Hollywood Studios features Sorcerer Mickey conducting the enchanted broomsticks
Here are Ben Ali Gator and Hyacinth Hippo dancing
Hop-Lo, the small mushroom from Fantasia. Yes, it is sad that I know the names of all these characters…
The Fountain of Nations will continue its refurbishment until the Flower and Garden Festival kicks off this week
A stop by Club Cool
As usual, operating until two hours prior to park closing
No new flavors, but the WDWNT globe appears to be hiding in the sign above the drinks ;)
“Anything but that!”
While the exhibit is gone, the time-line of Epcot’s 25 year history remains
The Magic Music Days stage has returned with a few minor upgrades
It’s a shame that the economy has halted all plans for any change at Epcot’s Imagination! pavilion
The receptionist left after the first 100 complaints in 1999
“Let me out of here!!”
Despite the current attraction being just a quick fix, the Figment character still brings a smile to many guests faces
I’d love to sit up there with him and watch those classic clips…
Coming to FOX: When Figment’s Attack
As if this pavilion has not been put through enough. Take notice of thethe new Springtime Figment limited edition plush in the background.
The decorated scaffolding to this area (which was the Centorium store while Mousegear was built in 1999 and a character meet and greet at another point) has recently been taken down
A Flower and Garden Festival play area under construction
These bottle-shaped recycling bins continue to pop-up throughout Future World
Presented by GM for how much longer?
The Electric Umbrella is closed for refurbishment
Rumors insist the kitchen is being upgraded and some new menu items will appear when it re-opens April 5th
Actually, neither beverage station is open, so this sign is less than helpful…
While the restaurant is vacant, it remains physically open so guests can use its restrooms…
Since the Spaceship Earth restrooms are currentlyunder refurbishment.
Many thanks to Mr. Ashburn for the report!!!
