Last week, we reported new signage was installed on the restaurant. Now, additional panels have been added, covering some of the older windows on the side of the structure. This paneling appears to be a permanent decoration choice, not a temporary construction wall. The panels adhere to the same color palette and theming as the recently installed sign. They boldly showcase a geometric pattern in vivid pink, orange, and gold in front of a white background.

Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen has been undergoing quite a bit of change with recent refurbishments. The following announcement was released by Disney regarding upcoming adjustments to both the location’s appearance and menu:

Get ready for the updated Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio, which will spring to life over the next few weeks! Visitors can soon enjoy a fresh approach to the menu, incorporating a vibrant California energy while staying true to the heart of New Orleans. Please check back for the latest on hours, menus and more.

The Downtown Disney District is currently undergoing a significant transformation, which will include several new restaurants and shops. Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen is one of the current major undertakings within this construction zone. The project will completely change the look of the outside of the building, as well as switch up some of the menu offerings. Take a look at the concept art below:

Much of the original exterior theming elements on Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen have already been removed during the transformation to give the restaurant a cleaner look and “vibrant California energy.” The menu is also set to be updated to reflect this new theme.

The restaurant will be renamed Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio. Its new logo in half pink, half orange with a saxophone outline in the center is already showcased on the new sign. The restaurant’s main marquee will be relocated to the front entrance.

Downtown Disney Reimagining

Disney Parks Experiences and Products President Josh D’Amaro announced the reimagining of Downtown Disney District at Destination D23 back in November 2021. The multi-year project aims to transform the outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment district into a vibrant, open-air neighborhood that “reflects the best Southern California has to offer.”

A new grassy area will provide a space for guests to relax, similar to what was recently implemented in the reimagining of Mickey’s Toontown. There will also be space for events to be held in Downtown Disney District.

The improvements will also include a new pedestrian-friendly streetscape, a variety of new dining and shopping options, and enhanced entertainment experiences. The project is expected to be completed in phases over several years.
