Shanghai Disney Resort announced Marvel Fan Fest would be coming to the park this May.
The announcement video features Mickey and his friends dressing up like Marvel superheroes. We’ve seen some of these outfits before at Disneyland Resort. Mickey is dressed as Captain America, Minnie is dressed as Spider-Gwen, Daisy is dressed as Black Widow, Chip and Dale are dressed as Thor and Loki, Donald is dressed as the Hulk, Goofy is dressed as Iron Man, and Pluto wears an Avengers bandanna. They will be appearing in Tomorrowland to “show off their heroic dance moves.”
There will also be Marvel-themed merchandise, food and beverage, décor, and more during the celebration.
Marvel at Disney Parks
The first Avengers Campus opened at Disney California Adventure in June 2021. The land’s rides are Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! and WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. Doctor Strange hosts a Mysteries of the Mystic Arts show and stunt shows are performed on the balcony of Avengers Headquarters. Various Marvel characters also appear and roam the land. A multiverse Avengers attraction is also in development.
In Avengers Campus at Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster was turned into Avengers Assemble: Flight Force. Their identical Spider-Man ride is named Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure.
Hong Kong Disneyland is transforming part of Tomorrowland into Stark Expo. Their attractions include Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!, Iron Man Experience, and an upcoming Avengers ride.
Due to Disney’s contract with Universal regarding Marvel characters, and Walt Disney World’s proximity to Universal Orlando Resort, the Florida resort can’t use certain Marvel characters and properties. The Guardians of the Galaxy are free game, though, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opened at EPCOT last year. Guardians of the Galaxy characters have also sometimes had meet and greets and shows at Walt Disney World.
