Universal Orlando Water Taxi Service Suspended Through December 7

Universal Orlando Resort’s water taxi service from its nearby hotels to Universal CityWalk Orlando has been temporarily suspended through December 7.

The dock at Universal CityWalk Orlando is currently undergoing a short refurbishment, which means the service will be unavailable. Guests at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, and Loews Sapphire Falls Resort are asked to walk to the park for the time being using the available walkways which follow a similar route. The walk isn’t all that bad — taking anywhere from five to fifteen minutes depending on your resort.

The refurbishment is set to conclude on December 7, with water taxi service resuming on December 8.

  1. Absolutely! Had no idea when I booked the reservation. Stayed at the furthest hotel away from campus. Was quite a hike and made mid day breaks at the hotel much harder and take more time out of your park day. The bus offering was worthless as it dumped you behind the parking garage. By the time you walked through main security and through city walk, you almost had the same amount of walking and the added time of waiting on the busses both ways. They should have arranged the busses to drop at the VIP entrance or another similar closet spot. That’s what people are spending a lot of extra money to stay at the on campus hotels. Very disappointed but made the best of it. Did find the walking path relaxing and was well lit at night.

  2. We will be arriving on Dec 8th. I will not be able to walk to the park and then walk in the park. I have arthritis in both my knees. This is very disappointing.
