Remember Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Forever When You Propose with an Ornament Ring Box featuring Cinderella Castle and Plastic Ring

For die-hard Disney fans, incorporating Disney into the proposal or the wedding is a given. When it’s an engagement, many people will pop the question somewhere in the park – typically in front of the castle. Now you can get down on one knee and propose (or commemorate the occasion) with this Walt Disney World Engagement Ring Holder Ornament.

We found this engagement ring holder ornament at Creations at EPCOT. There is also a Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle version. Both can also be found on shopDisney.com.

The ornament rests inside and sits on an additional padded layer found at the bottom of the box.

Part of the Disney Sketchbook Ornament Collection, the ornament has a quilted design to it and a misshapen Cinderella Castle on top. Designed to represent the 50th-anniversary version of the castle, we’re not sure why it was so hard to get a more faithful reproduction than what is represented here.

We understand it is supposed to look like it is quilted, but the more you look at it, the more you can’t help but think it also resembles a hand grenade.

Around the middle, where the ornament opens up, is a grey decorative band and a rose clasp. Below is a silver plate with “Walt Disney World” engraved on it and rhinestone details. It also comes with a magnetic closure and a blue grosgrain ribbon.

Opening up the ornament, on the inside top portion of the lid is a mirror and the inscription ”Will You Marry Me?” running along the rim of the lid.

A decorative faux removable ring rests on a velvet ring holder. The idea here is that you would take this ring out, put the real one in, and after proposing, replace it with the prop ring and then hang it on the tree.

The Walt Disney World Engagement Ring Holder Ornament measure 3 3/4” H x 2 1/2” in diameter.

The ring has embossed Mickey heads running around the band, a gold-painted prong setting, and a “diamond” that looks more like a pebble than a real “stone.”

  1. I don’t think the TSA will allow this in any baggage. I didn’t have to think about it. I immediately thought hand grenade.

  2. Do you think you can order this online? My wife and I got engaged outside the castle in 1998 and she would really like this.
