A mom has gone viral on Facebook after sharing the story of a creepy doll from Spirit Halloween which earned her three-year-old daughter special attention from Cast Members on their latest visit to Walt Disney World.
Brittany Beard recently visited Walt Disney World with her family including three year-old daughter Briar. And while most kids often bring a special toy or doll on trips, little Briar insisted on bringing along a doll she fell in love with on a visit to Spirit Halloween which the family nicknamed “Creepy Chloe”.
“This is what it looks like when you take your 3 year old to the Spirit Halloween store and she absolutely insists on buying the creepiest baby doll you’ve ever set eyes on. She said, ‘But I’m it’s mommy and it needs me!’ Briar named the doll Chloe and I then immediately nicknamed her Creepy Chloe. I’m pretty sure Creepy Chloe is stealing my soul when I sleep.” she jokes at the opening of her story on Facebook.
Beard agreed to let her bring the creepy doll on their trip to Walt Disney World, saying “creepy babies need Disney magic too I guess.” She even dug out a special dress for the three year-old inspired by the Haunted Mansion Cast Member costumes.
Their first magical encounter came at breakfast time, where she said “While eating breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe, they brought out the cast member pastry chef to meet Briar and Creepy Chloe because apparently she loves all things spooky. She said she adored that Briar loved the doll and at the end of the meal, she surprised Briar with an amazing spooky cupcake and a mini handmade chocolate Haunted Mansion poster. It was actually really sweet!”
Once they reached the Magic Kingdom, they had a special photo shoot together. Beard said “The photographer was eating it up and kept coming up with posing ideas for Chloe. I’m sure it was quite a unexpected change from her usual never ending line of glittery Bippity Boppity Boutique princesses!”
Finally their travels brought the family over to the Haunted Mansion, where the Cast Members went the extra mile to create a special experience for little Briar and her creepy doll. “There was a 50 minute wait to get on the ride but when they saw Briar, they immediately whisked her away into the secret ‘Servants Quarters’ where we got to see the keys to all rooms and the bells that ring to call the servants up. Then they popped us right out into the stretching room. The cast members were waiting for us when the doors opened to present us with official Haunted Mansion Caretaker certificates and to walk us right on to the ride,” she recalled.
“All in all,” she concludes “I guess the moral of the story is when your 3 year old throws a fit over absolutely needing a super creepy Halloween doll… buy the doll. Creepy Chloe might be stealing my soul while I sleep, but we are making the best of our time left over here!”

This is what Disney is about. Those cast members that make a child’s vacation special.
Should have said it was a Chapek voodoo doll. Probably would have had a different reaction, I imagine. 😉
Creepy cool get this girl and her doll a death certificate! It reminds me of my nephew whom dressed as a butler at 2. Is an offical mansion ghost as he has a death certificate like his mom and is named after master gracey. They also been going to the haunts since he was 3 hes been an honorary chainsaw team member. I am sure this little ones got some time but w a doll like that will be there soon. Happy haunt season!
My 23 year old daughter gorgeous likes creepy now, not so much when she was 3. My 23 year old would say to the child affectionately, “you be you, girl”
