As complaints mount over the sheer number of complications part of planning a Walt Disney World trip, including the confusing structure of Disney Genie, Genie+, and Lightning Lane, the resort has officially released some “how-to” videos explaining the systems to guests. 1. FastPass required no video tutorials as I recall…just a helpful cast member at the FP dispensers or simple instructions on the WDW website. Now that WDW has published 6 videos tp try and explain how to use the new system, seems to confirm that the recognize the new system is seriously broken from the user’s side.

  2. Exactly what is wrong with Disney. Any vacation destination that feels it neccessary to produce 6 videos on how to best enjoy a theme park is not a place to vacation.

Disney has become too overtly controlling, introducing systems to allow “premium experiences” at a premium price. It used to be, everyone had the same experience and everyone paid the same price.

Disney has lost its egalitarian sensibility, and that affects how guests view each other. All to maximize profits.
