The Walt Disney World Friendship Boats are reportedly getting a new color scheme, and some of the boats have already been removed from service.
We saw a boat covered in white tarps being transported through Walt Disney World property on a truck.
The Friendship Boats transport guests across World Showcase Lagoon in EPCOT, as well as to and from EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the following resort hotels:
- Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
- Disney’s Beach Club Villas
- Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel
- Walt Disney World Swan Hotel
Currently, the Walt Disney World Friendship Boats are white, with two pastel colors around the windows, in stripes on the roof, and along the edge of the hull. The boat in the picture above has coral and blue trim. Other Friendship Boats are pink and teal, red and yellow, and purple and teal.

The Friendship 3 debuted on the same day that the Hollywood sign came down. July 13th.
A little nostalgia for ya! 😃
I’d be very surprised if they weren’t getting engine upgrades as well to make them more fuel efficient. More generally they have been in need of refurbishment since before the pandemic so it’s long long overdue.
