Disney has announced that cast rehearsals for the return of Fantasmic! have begun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The announcement was made via Instagram with a short video.
When Fantasmic! returns, a new segment will have replaced the former Pocahontas scene. Click here for more information. The lighting, projection, and audio systems have also been updated.
A date has not been released for the return of Fantasmic!, but it will likely be announced at the upcoming D23 Expo.

Studios cm have been told oct but do not know if that will change w d23 announcement. The website had times at one pt last wk but were quickly taken down too. Studios is lacking something to keep folks at the park it be nice to see fantasmic return but i still wish we could have gotten world of color replacement. Thanks for the update katie.
I’m an AP and we’d stay for Fantasmic or the Star Wars fireworks when we’d be at Hollywood. Not enthralled at all with the 50th thing they’re doing now so after dinner we just leave to beat the rush back to Tampa. Fantasmic returning will keep us there later (and buying stuff).
