Tonight at the Halloween Horror Nights presentation at Midsummer Scream, John Murdy confirmed that Scarecrow: The Reaping is coming to this year’s event.

This house is based on the house of the same name from Universal Orlando Resort’s HHN 27.

Families have abandoned their farms after the Dust Bowl, leaving only scarecrows (and crows) behind.
The Façade

Guests will enter one such abandoned farmhouse.

Here you can see our most recent construction photo of the façade.

Murdy shared several blueprints and pieces of concept art. Above is color elevation for the smokehouse, and below for the pantry.

He also shared some of the research images that the team uses to create the immersive environments.

Guests can expect to be pooped on by crows in the rookery (one of the multiple uses of Universal’s favorite water spray effects in this house).

Scarecrows are not happy to see us and will attempt to turn any humans in their territory into scarecrows.

New Original Character

The USH team created an original character not seen in Orlando’s version of the house — Kingcrow, who will be portrayed by a stiltwalker.
