More concrete has been added to the faux rocks at Journey of Water Inspired by “Moana,” a new walkthrough attraction coming to EPCOT.
The rocks are being formed around steel supports and rectangular concrete structures.
Several more steel supports are now visible throughout the construction site for more faux rocks.
No rocks have been added to this small building with a long awning, but we did see crew members in the area today.
The rocks are formed with a mesh material, which is still visible on most of the shapes. Concrete has been added to some, however, giving them a more realistic appearance.
Specifically, the rocks covered in scaffolding are taking on a more solid shape.
A large yellow crane is parked at the construction site. It is being used to place materials around the concrete walls in the center of the site.
Several small poles now surround these walls.
In the distance is the steel tower structure that was installed several weeks ago.
Crews have also been working on the structure that is partially in the ground.
Several lines of wires now extend out from the structure.
There is no announced opening date for Journey of Water Inspired by “Moana.” But we’ll keep on watching construction as it slowly trudges alone. Let us know if you’re excited to visit in the comments below!
