Halloween 2022 Offerings Announced for Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure

Disneyland Resort has announced all their 2022 Halloween offerings for both theme parks. Oogie Boogie Bash will also be returning this year beginning September 6.

Halloween Time at Disneyland Park

Throughout Disneyland Park, guests may encounter Disney Villains or other characters in brand-new Halloween looks. Seasonal décor, including pumpkin displays and the iconic giant Mickey pumpkin, will transform Main Street, U.S.A.

The Haunted Mansion attraction will undergo its annual seasonal transformation to become Haunted Mansion Holiday, inspired by “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

Every night from Sept. 2 – Oct. 31, 2022, guests may enjoy the return of the supernatural showcase “Halloween Screams,” a projection and light show. On weekend nights, “Halloween Screams” will include fireworks.

Halloween Time at Disney California Adventure Park

At the entrance to Disney California Adventure park, Oogie Boogie will loom over the entrance.

In Cars Land will celebrate Haul-O-Ween as Radiator Springs becomes Radiator Screams. Lightning McQueen, Mater, Cruz, and Red will be greeting guests in their Halloween “car-stumes.” Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree will be transformed into Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters will become Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.

Over in Avengers Campus, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! will become Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark each night.

On Buena Vista Street, Mickey Mouse and friends will appear in old-fashioned Halloween outfits. Buena Vista Street will also be decorated for Halloween. When the sun sets, the façade of Carthay Circle Restaurant will come alive with Halloween projections. There will also be a 10-foot-tall statue of the Headless Horseman.

Día de los Muertos

Plaza de la Familia will return to Paradise Gardens at Disney California Adventure from Sept. 2 through Nov. 2, 2022. This immersive, limited-time celebration, inspired by the spirit of Día de los Muertos, features live entertainment, festive foods, crafts, and more. Activities include “A Musical Celebration of Coco,” a lively street performance honoring Disney and Pixar’s “Coco” and the everlasting bonds of family. A Mariachi band will also perform at Paradise Gardens Bandstand. Additionally, guests can enjoy an art installation, a photo opportunity at the Arbol de la Vida (Tree of Life) photo location, a memory wall, and a greeting with a hand-animated figure of Miguel from “Coco.”

Frontierland will also have a vibrant display dedicated to Día de los Muertos from Sept. 2 through Nov. 2, 2022, featuring a musical trio of skeleton figurines, brightly colored flowers, and other festive décor.
