Refurbishment Continues on New Orleans Square Pathways at Disneyland

New Orleans Square at Disneyland has been a maze of construction walls as refurbishment continues on Pirates of the Caribbean and the land in general. Thankfully, walkways are finally beginning to reopen.

The French Quarter-inspired street was previously blocked off. A large square of construction walls still sit at the front of the street, but a sign directs guests around it.

A thin opening allows guests to walk behind the construction walls.

Back here, guests can still access Port Royal Curios and Curiosities.

The Pieces of Eight gift shop has also reopened.

Construction walls still block the front of Blue Bayou Restaurant.

Across from the restaurant, some cardboard boxes were flat on the ground and a fabric-covered fence sat atop them.

This row of construction walls, with some decorative planters in front of it, blocks access through this street.

More fabric fencing encircles this stairwell.

We look forward to eventually seeing the end of this construction, especially with “Fantasmic!” set to return on May 28 and Pirates of the Caribbean reopening July 1.
