Genie+ Only Available For Purchase on Day of Visit Starting June 8 at Walt Disney World

Starting on June 8, 2022, Disney Genie+ will only be available to purchase on the day of your visit to a Walt Disney World theme park, via the My Disney Experience app.

Genie+ is currently offered as an add-on to a Walt Disney World ticket before arrival. Guests who have already purchased it as an add-on will still be able to use it.

Guests will only be able to purchase Genie+ on the day of their visit for the rest of 2022 and all of 2023. Disney also stated Genie+ is “subject to availability.”

This is only at Walt Disney World and not at Disneyland Resort.

  1. Happy as I am to see they are going to limit it vs selling more than they can provide for (and I still disagree with charging for what they are offering), it was very stressful trying to do the LL every morning at 7, I can’t imagine having to buy it and then rush to book every day of a trip while the individual LL passes sell out. If they are going to charge, eliminate having to book a time and make it walk up and while they are at it, eliminate having to book a park while saying Genie+ allows spontinaity. Nothing spontaneous about booking a park the day you buy your tickets.
