The construction walls have come down around Connections Café and Eatery at EPCOT, and now the Café side has opened. Connections Café is the new permanent Starbucks location in the park, and the temporary Traveler’s Cafe has already closed.
The entrance is flanked by colorful sculptures within glass. Each bears the EPCOT logo.
Seating lines the windows.
The counters have white tops and light wood paneling around the sides.
The floors of Connections Café and Eatery are sunken, which is a callback to Communicore. When Communicore became Innoventions, the floors were flattened.
At the main entrance to the Café, leading from the stairs into the queue, is a section of flooring inspired by Walt Disney’s original design for EPCOT.
There are several built-in shelves with various cookware — mostly teapots — on display.
The cookware is all different styles and inspired by different cultures, celebrating how food and drink bring communities together, like the “Global Gathering” mural.
The cookware is all behind glass.
There are cushioned benches and ottomans.
Most of the tables and chairs in the Café are black.
The built-in benches have USB and standard outlets.
There are also blue armchairs around an EPCOT-inspired table.
The glass-top table features the EPCOT logo.
The hand-painted mural decorates the walls and stretches into Connections Eatery, which is still roped off.
As we’ve noted before, the skylight tubes in the ceiling are also a Communicore reference.
The Eatery has white tables and chairs.
We can see into the Eatery even though it’s not open yet.
Unique wooden chandeliers hang throughout.
Cast Members were working in the kitchen, which is partially visible through glass.

Wow. Steral and generic. The NEW Disney touch
Cleary you didn’t see the mural or the Comunicore and Progress City references. Sometimes you have appreciate the little things.
Looks lovely. And wide open to accommodate the ensuing crowds. Nice. Thanks for sharing WDWNT!
Nice to see someone being respectful to it. I hate people not seeing the positives in things like this.
I hope that is the actual area music. Love the nods to Tapestry of Nations and Celebrate the Future!!! Not the beloved Innoventions loop, but still honoring Epcot.
That’s the same loop from Creations Shop, there’s just the one song, the rest is the generic modern music.
