Hello from a hot and sunny EPCOT! We came to check out all the preparations for the upcoming International Food & Wine Festival, which opens in just two days. We found some things to show you, so let’s get started!
Before we even entered the park, we found new decorations for the upcoming Festival had already arrived. Wraps have been put on the pillars outside of the ticket booths boasting this year’s art featuring Remy and all his friends, as well as fine cuisine.
Just past the tapstiles, the main entrance display has arrived, as well as a smaller display meant to be seen on the way out.
Also in the main entrance area, the Pavilion flags have returned and are all flying high once again around the entrance fountain. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
Out on World Showcase Lagoon, we saw one of the Harmonious barges testing its fountains.
We also noticed LED lights along the edge of the Ring Barge being tested, and cycling through a rainbow of colors.
The “Canada Far And Wide” sign in the Canada Pavilion has been replaced with a new sign for the Appleseed Orchard Festival food booth.
We found a whole new line of merchandise in the France Pavilion featuring Mickey and Minnie. For more pictures and information on this collection, check out our article here.
Tangierine Cafe in the Morocco Pavilion has new signage ahead of its reopening as a Festival location at the International Food & Wine Festival on Thursday.
Although “Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak” Scavenger Hunt doesn’t begin until Thursday when the International Food & Wine Festival starts, we found a few Remys already out and about hiding in plain sight around World Showcase. We won’t give away his location, but we had fun keeping an eye out for this happy face all over the park today!
The interactive “Coco”-inspired displays in the Mexico Pavilion were partially responsive today, but the displays were off. The tap points were illuminated and sometimes responded to a MagicBand, but the displays appeared to be completely shut down. This is the first time we’ve seen movement at these displays since they were shut down in order to reduce contact points after the parks reopened last year.
We had a wonderful time at EPCOT, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
