Disney Reveals Behind the Scenes Look at the Making of the New “Coco” Scene in Mickey’s PhilharMagic

The new “Coco” scene debuted today at Disneyland Resort and Disneyland Paris, and Disney has shared a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the first addition to Mickey’s PhilharMagic in almost twenty years. The scene features a fan-favorite song from the film: “Poco Loco.”

Germaine Franco, one of the original composers on “Coco,” returned to produce a score for Mickey’s PhilharMagic. A full orchestra was used to recreate “Poco Loco” on a grander scale. Imagineers also worked with some of the original team at Pixar to create a brand new sequence using assets from the original film.

The new scene will arrive at Walt Disney World later this year as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations.
