We have been keeping track of construction on the new Guardians of the Galaxy coaster coming soon to EPCOT, although updates have been a bit slow lately. However, we noticed a recent change to the roof. Take a look below:
New metal panels have been added to a section of the roof.
Only a small section has been put in place near the bottom center of the roof.
This paneling is very different from what we saw in concept art, so it’s possible the building’s design has changed.
The concept art (below) pictured smooth edges to the paneling.
Of course, the concept art also pictured three entrances to the building, while construction currently indicates there will only be two.
Meanwhile, the foundation for the Xandarian ship that will sit in front of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT is complete only a week after we first noticed it being constructed.
The ship is likely being constructed off-site and can easily be brought in and installed on this base in the future.
