Friendship Boats Resuming Service to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on November 1

While Friendship Boats have been operating in the World Showcase Lagoon since EPCOT reopened in July, they have not yet resumed service to nearby resort hotels. They were initially supposed to resume operation on July 29, but now Disney has announced that they will officially resume service on November 1.

From the International Gateway, guests are able to board a boat to Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Service to EPCOT will begin 30 minutes before park open. Service to Disney’s Hollywood Studios will begin one hour before park open. Return service from both parks will be available for 1 hour after park close.

Plexiglass and social distancing markers are already set up at the dock for the boarding process, however they’re currently used as a queue for temperature checks at International Gateway.

We will continue to check on the Friendship Boats for any developments. When they reopen, they will likely have similar social distancing measures to the Friendship Boats currently operating inside EPCOT.
