BREAKING: Disneyland Paris Closing on October 30 Due to COVID-19 Lockdown

Due to spikes in COVID-19 cases in France, Disneyland Paris will once again be closing its gates beginning Friday, October 30 to adhere to recent lockdown guidelines issued by President Emmanuel Macron.

For now, there is no official timeline for when Disneyland Paris might reopen—the lockdown is said to last through December 1, however it will be reevaluated every two weeks. As we know from this summer, the closure could be extended indefinitely.

Disneyland Paris previously closed March 15 and reopened July 15, on about the same timeline as Walt Disney World in the U.S.A.

Disneyland Paris reduced hours significantly in September, with Walt Disney Studios Park only open five hours a day. Disneyland Park was closing at 6:00 PM on most days and 8:00 PM on Saturdays. Disney Village was open from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM daily. Earlier this month, the President of France announced a 9:00 PM curfew for the Paris region.

  1. Disney keeps mentioning the success of their other parks around the world in their attempt to pressure California to re-open Disneyland. This news from France, along with the comparatively high covid death rate in Florida, certainly doesn’t help their case.

  2. Disneyland Paris is going to be officially broke! Lockdowns are definitely not the proper way to take action for the virus. I feel bad for them.
