Union Leader Posts Photos from Walt Disney World Resort Ahead of Theme Parks Reopening

Local 362 union President, Eric Clinton, took a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks ahead of their reopening, which is scheduled to start July 11th. The visit included seeing the new safety measures put into place at the parks as well as visiting with Cast Members.

Above we see images of Eric visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and the Magic Kingdom (check out a peek of the construction of Cinderella Castle behind him!)

This visit makes sense as Cast Members for many locations are beginning to be called back to work ahead of the reopening, and others at select resorts have been working since June 14th.

Continue to follow along with us at WDWNT as we continue to cover the Disney Parks reopening around the world.

  1. It really dumb to be opening now I thought Disney would be the smart one. Splash mountain is more important than the cast members health.

    • If you are not comfortable going to Disney then don’t go. If you have complications then don’t go. Everyone else can follow the guidelines and have a safe fun time. Most of the cast members want/need to go back to work. Use your own discretion, everyone can make their own decision.

  2. I think this is not the right time for reopening, numbers of coronavirus cases have been spiking up, we, the people need to use common sense.

  3. I went to Busch Gardens yesterday and was only there 3 hours because of how terribly hot it was under the mask! If had didn’t live in there area (and had already been 3 times prior to COVID), I would have been very disappointed. I honestly don’t know how many people will be able to wear a mask during a Florida summer without passing out from heat stroke.

  4. The dumb people are the ones who won’t wear masks and refuse to comply to the mandates and common sense recommendations…people who go to parties, gatherings, and bars. They come in contact with other infected idiots and bring it home to spread to others. The stupidity of some has put others in danger all because of arrogant selfishness and ignorance.

  5. It’s sad that all annual pass holders and resort guests have taken up all available dates to go to the park in less than 30 mins. No hope for families out of state that wanna visit. Disney should he ashamed of this pathetic way of getting people in to spend more money at resorts

  6. They are showing they are staying 6 ft apart with mask. Like that will really Happen. People out there really don’t care for themselves or others.

  7. 9000 new cases in 1 week? 20% positivity rate in some counties? And you think this is the way to go? SMH
