Tokyo Disney Resort Reopening July 1st, 2020

At last, the 3rd park to reopen, after Shanghai, Hong Kong, the Tokyo Disney Resort has finally announced that they will return to operations on July 1st, 2020!

Closed since February 29th, the two parks will reopen to Guests under severely limited capacity, with the following restrictions in place:

  • Masks must be worn at all times.
  • Temperatures will be checked at park entrances. Guests with temperatures above 37.5 degrees Celsius will not be admitted to the park.
  • The parks will be open 8am-8pm until further notice.
  • A lottery will be set up to allocate a portion of Park admissions to guests holding Annual Passports during the period when Annual Passports cannot be used for Park admission. Details will be announced on the Tokyo Disney Resort Official Website as soon as they are determined.
  • The following ticket types will be sold:

The following events have been cancelled:

  • Disney Easter 2020
  • CookieAnn’s Greeting Drive
  • Duffy’s Sunny Fun

Ikspiari, the shopping center akin to Disney Springs, has been open since June 1st. To purchase tickets, you can visit the Official TDR site starting Thursday, June 25th.

We’re so excited to see these parks finally reopen! Universal Studios Japan has also been open since June 15th, and we look forward to visiting Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea safely.
