RUMOR: Disney Looking to “Erase” Latest Abrams and Johnson Star Wars Sequel Trilogy

Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker Rey and Kylo Ren 1

There is a rumor going around that Disney is looking to basically erase the events of “The Force Awakens”, “The Last Jedi” and “The Rise Of Skywalker”.

This rumor comes from a video circulating on YouTube which states the following:

“In the Season 4 episode 13 of Star Wars Rebels, an installment titled ‘A World Between Worlds,’ the concept of the Veil of The Force was introduced, a mystical dimension of The Force that connects all time and space.”

“I have received confirmation from two additional sources claiming that this is spot on—that indeed LucasFilm realizes they have a massive problem on their hands, that the Star Wars franchise is all but dead, and despite Kathleen Kennedy’s hatred of this idea, Lucasfilm is preparing to render the Sequel Trilogy null and void.”

“A massive reset is going to hit the Star Wars universe.”

If this were to happen, the latest Star Wars Trilogy would no longer be considered canon and exist in their own timeline under legendary status. For now, take this all with a huge grain of salt, but anything can happen when it comes to Star Wars.

I have provided a link to the original Youtube video, but be warned that it includes strong language and adult humor.

  1. “Take this all with a grain of salt” is right. There’s basically no credibility to this rumor. They would have to reset the cannon on all recent media (comics, video games, books), actual theme park lands and rides as well since they allude to events in the new trilogy. This sounds like some pipe dream of people who just really don’t like the new movies. I’ll be the first to eat my words and admit I was wrong if this actually occurs.

    • mate, they did that to all the old stuff already, its nothing they havent done already or arent willing to do

  2. It might be to little to late Disney’s ultra woke attitude and the way they treat the fans is awful and they really need to fire Kathleen Kennedy she is the Palpatine of Disney and it’s time for her to go.While Disney is at it scratch that ridiculous Pirates project with Margo Robbie attached to it she is a franchise killer and bring back Jonny Depp!

  3. WOW! That is huge! Seems hard to believe though. I love the original trilogy and thought the new ones had good moments, but not great movies. They just weren’t thought out well enough. Two conflicting trains of thought between Abrams and Johnson. Maybe, they will finally put the correct radar dish on the Falcon at Galaxy’s Edge now though.

  4. You gotta be careful of the incel losers on youtube who make things up because they are hate filled rage monsters.

  5. With all due respect, this is the dumbest SW rumor I’ve heard in a long time, and reads like some greasy fan boys fantasy, complete with a suffering Kathleen Kennedy and all. This doesn’t just deserve a grain of salt, but the entire factory.

  6. If this equivalent to “Bobby Ewing stepping out of the shower” can be harnessed for Star Wars then I’m all In favor of it. These dreadful movies with emotionless characters will finally be obliterated forever. While they’re at it please give the prequels the same treatment.

Next on the regret and reimagine pile for Disney, Galaxy’s Edge!

  7. After the flood of stupidity I have seen on the internet I’m almost not surprised by something this far fetched. If it weren’t for the fact Dinsey actually has proven they can make stupid snap decision, like ruining Splash Mountain, I would blow it off. The fact they state things like “Star Wars is all but dead” is absolute garbage. Regardless of opinions on the sequel films, things like Fallen Order, Mandalorian, Clone Wars, Galaxy’s Edge, etc, prove there is ZERO basis for that statement, even if people have had strong opinions of some of the films. But again, I’ve been proven wrong so many times the last few weeks saying “there’s no way they are that stupid”, so who knows. Maybe we can expect the world to make another horrible decision. Something I’ve appreciated about Star Wars since Disney bought Lucasfilm was the establishment of the Story Group. Keeping everything, or mostly at least, cohesive is awesome. After the mess of continuity the EU used to be I’ve loved having a unified story. When I want to watch something with a multiverse I watch The Flash, so I really hope, for so many reasons, this never comes to pass. I was sceptical when that Rebels episode aired that they were opening a can of worms with time travel

  8. And make the events of the multi-billion dollar investment that is Galaxy Edge non-cannon as well? You might want to rethink your assessment.

  9. I’m uncomfortable with rewrites of history and literature, even Star Wars. The treasure of the coolness factor and wow-impact of Star Wars was partly due to the pristine newness and novelty of it. If Disney goes too far with changes or even complete remakes it can feel Orwellian and false and it may be exceptionally difficult, but not impossible, to establish additional, fresh coolness and wow.
