If you’ve ever wanted to own a part of a Disney firework show, now’s your chance. The pyrotechnic barges used for the perimeter fireworks for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth are currently being auctioned off.
According to Twitter user @Traincrossin, the Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers are auctioning off the midi barges used for the perimeter pyrotechnics for EPCOT’s nighttime spectacular.
Lots #6244 through #6247, the 12 Ft x 12 Ft pontoon marine equipment, used to be responsible for creating magic in the sky. Now, it rests in the auction yard, awaiting to be purchased.
The auction will be held online with a timed bidding system. Although there’s no auction date listed yet, you can be added to a watchlist and be alerted when the item will be available to bid on.
The barges have been through a lot over the years, but still deserve to go to a good home! If you have the money and the space, you may consider bidding in order to secure your own piece of the retired nighttime firework show.
