Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls!. In celebration of Main Street Electrical Parade returning to Disneyland Park through September 30, a variety of specialty food offerings are available throughout the Park. Last week, we had fun trying some sweet and savory items. And today we’re indulging on the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and Raspberry Lemonade Milkshake at Carnation Cafe.
Spicy Chicken Sandwich – $15.00
This hot new item consists of spicy fried chicken breast, pepper jack cheese, creamy mustard slaw, and cilantro. This sandwich comes served with French fries, which is always a necessity in our book.
This sandwich is really spicy, but very flavorful. The bread is nice and soft and buttery like all the other sandwiches. The chicken is plump and tender. We were served a hearty piece, which made this sandwich very filling. Our complaint is that there’s maybe too much slaw, but you can easily take some off. And after a bit, the sauce destroys the bun.
Overall, we’d definitely get this again!
Raspberry Lemonade Shake – $7.50
This milkshake consists of raspberry lemonade with vanilla ice cream. It sounds like a weird mix, but it’s certainly not bad. It’s at its best when you use the spoon to scoop whipped cream, raspberry sauce, nerds, and ice cream in one bite. Altogether, those flavors make a fantastic combination.
