PHOTOS: New My Disney Experience Alert Warns Guests of Risk of Exposure to COVID-19 at Walt Disney World

With the re-opening of Disney Springs today, Disney has set a precedent for how they will be handling health and safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic at their American properties. With temperature screenings, social distancing markers, and warning signs, it looks like Disney is taking every precaution to keep their guests and Cast Members safe. They have also added a warning about the risk of exposure to COVID-19 in the My Disney Experience app.

The warning pops up when you open the app and clicking “Learn More” will lead you to information regarding the re-opening of Disney Springs. The same warning is posted when entering Disney Springs.

The warning says that Disney has taken enhanced safety measures to protect guests and cast, but that COVID-19 exposure is possible in any public place where people are present. The warning also states that “by visiting Walt Disney World, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.”

It’s important to read Disney’s new health and safety measures before visiting Disney Springs or any of the theme parks once they have re-opened, so as to keep yourself and others safe.
