Guests planning on visiting Walt Disney World in 2020 should note that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closed for a period of time in May 2020.
According to refurbishment calendars, the popular Frontierland attraction will go down for refurbishment on May 4, 2020, and will stay closed through May 21, 2020.
Due to the short duration of the refurbishment, we expect the work to be mostly routine maintenance and not a major addition to the ride. As always, we will keep you updated if more details emerge about this refurbishment.
