As of today, the gourmet popcorn cart near Epcot’s Imagination! Pavilion is closed, redirecting guests to the new Epcot Experience.
The gourmet popcorn flavors usually served at the cart are cheddar cheese, buffalo bleu cheese, and sour cream and chive. This summer, we also reviewed their rainbow flavored popcorn, which briefly replaced sour cream and chive to celebrate Gay Days.
Luckily, the three classic flavors are still around, you just have to cross the park to get them. Walt Disney Imagineering Presents The Epcot Experience opened today in the Odyssey Events Pavilion. The Epcot Experience features displays originally from D23 that show-off Epcot’s upcoming changes. While you walk around the pavilion, you can snack on a few menu items, including the gourmet popcorn, Mickey pretzels, and Mickey ice cream bars.
There are also several drink options, mainly cider, which fit right in with the International Food & Wine Festival.
This kitchen at the Odyssey Pavilion has been used as a booth during the Food & Wine Festival before, so this change is probably temporary. You can tour the entirety of the brand new Epcot Experience in our earlier post.
We’re not sure if the popcorn cart will remain closed while the Epcot Experience operates, or if they have some bigger plans for it, but we’re glad we can still find this special popcorn in the park!
