Good Morning from the Magic Kingdom! We started bright and early today. Let’s take a look at what was going on in the park…
It was actually kind of crowded for first thing in the morning. Normally the Main Street area is pretty clear during the first hour, but not today…
Just a couple of Annual Passholder exclusive items that are currently available at the Emporium. The Goofy Tree of Life Magic Band and the Haunted Mansion maid and butler plush set.
Select Mickey’s Not-So… exclusive merchandise can now be found at The Emporium and is available for all guests to now purchase.
The Hocus Pocus & The All-New Sequel book that has been out since early July of this year, is now available to purchase at select stores across Disney property.
The calm before the storm… Despite all the guests pouring into the park, the front of the castle was completely clear of people.
One of the best photo spots in the hub is right here in front of the Partners statue featuring Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse.
Over at Momento Mori in Liberty Square, this new Precious Moments doombuggy figurine arrived. Its first debut was at this year’s D23 Expo. The price for this piece is $85.
This new comic strip style two-pin set also was released today, we found it at the Frontierland Trading Post. Price is $14.99.
Another morning at Sleepy Hollow. Pretty much every morning now, they open the location an hour after guests are permitted in the park, which causes quite the line to form. Kind of ridiculous for the only place that serves a decent quick-service breakfast to lose an hour of business…
Over at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe, you can find a portrait of Pecos Bill himself hanging over the fireplace! If you didn’t already know, Pecos Bill is a main character in one of the segments from the animated feature film “Melody Time”.
Over at The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland, we went to confirm some menu price increases. The Launching Pad is just one of many quick service food locations on property to receive the increases in prices. Check out the changes here.
The specific changes at The Launching Pad are as follows:
- Cream Cheese Warm Stuffed Pretzels were $6.59 and are now $6.79
- Mickey Pretzels were $6.59 and are now $6.79
- Churros were $5.89, now $6.19
Over at Big Top Souvenirs, some Steiff Dumbo plush had made their way in—$75 for a plush is outrageous, no matter what the brand.
Also in Storybook Circus, we ran into Pluto who is now an actively roaming character instead of a static character meet and greet like before. Read about more recent character meet and greet location changes here.
Pluto was looking for his lost bone with the help from some little kids, of course!
Remember when Be Our Guest used to have long lines? Well, not so much anymore!
Over at Columbia Harbor House, some of the windows are now covered with cloth, to prevent views of the Liberty Square Market construction area.
And then it rained. Where did everybody go?
The ducks sure appreciated the rain!
On the way out, we found this Main Street Popcorn Company variety pack! We hadn’t seen these in a while, it’s a really great value $14.99 for six smaller sized bags one of each flavor of popcorn!
That about sums up the day, the park was closing at 6:00PM for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which was actually sold out! Stay tuned to WDWNT for the next photo report from the parks!
Hello Andrew! Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I love your articles (and wdwnt in general!) but am not sure how to digest your Steiff comment about $75 being obscene. Steiff is well-renown as a premier stuffed animal company with quite the history behind it. $75 is quite cheap compared to their other products especially combining the prestige of Steiff and the prestige of Disney for someone’s collection. I guess it’s easier to think of Steiff as a luxury brand much like comparing Lougefly to Dooney & Bourke. Keep up the good work!
The Halloween Party was sold out last weekend for the two we did also. I will NEVER do another Halloween Party, too many tickets are being sold. There seemed to be fewer people at the park during the day than during the party. Completely not worth it.
Hey I’m there today at mk but I’m leaving at 1:00
“Melody Time” is also the movie/disc that includes my favorite Donald Duck cartoon of all time (of the old ones) – the one with Chip and Dale pestering him with “Apple Core? Baltimore. Who’s your friend? Me!/Him!” (and then someone gets blasted in the face with an apple, usually Donald.
