VIDEO: Watch The Last-Ever Final Showing “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” as the Fireworks Spectacular Concludes 20 Year Legacy at Epcot

We’re gathered here tonight, around the fire — as people of all lands have gathered for thousands and thousands of years before us — to share the light, and to share a story… a story about a nighttime spectacular that has touched the hearts of many over the span of its 20-year run.

The final “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” took place tonight, and it was an emotional experience for its fans and creators alike. Tomorrow, its temporary replacement, Epcot Forever will debut in its place, followed by the debut of HarmonioUS in May 2020.

Created and directed by Don Dorsey, the show premiered on October 1, 1999 as IllumiNations 2000: Reflections of Earth during the Walt Disney World Millennium Celebration. It was so successful that after the celebration ended, the 2000 was dropped from the name and the show was continued. Now, 20 years later, the show has finally had its final run… but thankfully, we’ll always have this video of its last showing.

Watch as the Earth Globe and Inferno Barge make their final flame-filled performance in the video below:

We’ll go on…

  1. Thanks for posting the video. I couldn’t watch it live so it’s great to catch it here. I’ve only seen it 4 times but consider myself very lucky. The show will be missed but I can’t wait to see what’s next.

  2. We gather round the Arendale Aqua fire in Norway, a rat infested back alley crepe fire in France, a nanny umbrella fire in England or a magical walled off section in the middle of a Target as suckers have done for ages to buy unthemed Illumination products that have basic cable Mickey because a decades long show with no IP in a park that used to be bigger then IP now needs to be dumbed down with the icon of fake Universal Studios. Basic cable Mickey is so tackey he shares a sign with BB-8 and Woody in a run down studio park with three unrelated Star Wars areas. My local Target has better theming and organization. A giant middle finger to all Epcot fans! Ha Ha

RIP orginal EPCOT that had higher ambitions and did not sell out this shamelessly even though most of it was paid for by corporations

  3. Thank you for this posting I thought my last Reflections of Earth was back in April as I had to see it at least once more. It was as emotional that final night as today, but today I am in wet England with a Cold. 😢😢
