New Franchise Logo Revealed for “Avatar” Sequels Coming in 2021 and 2023

Get ready to “rise to the challenge” again as moviegoers return to Pandora.

Disney has revealed a new franchise logo for Avatar ahead of the planned sequel releases in 2021 and 2023. Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana are expected to return as Jake Sully and Neytiri, respectively, while new cast members include Kate Winslet, Edie Falco, Michelle Yeoh, and Jemaine Clement. The films were shot back-to-back, with principal photography completed late last year.

The original Avatar was a box-office powerhouse when it opened in 2009, owning the record for the highest-grossing film ever until Avengers: Endgame surpassed it this year.
