During the 2019 D23 Expo’s Walt Disney Studios panel today, we received some new details on Frozen 2, including this stunning new poster:
So far, we know that the movie will be released on November 22nd, 2019, but what is Frozen 2 about? We believe the story is going to be centered around why Elsa has ice powers and Anna doesn’t, along with an adventure to see where their parent’s ship went down… and there’s even talk of a wedding.
There’s also going to be a one-scene flashback with Anna and Elsa’s parents. This will feature Evan Rachel Wood as the Queen singing a lovely lullaby to Anna and Elsa. Sterling K. Brown will play Lieutenant Mattias.

Of course our favorite snowman, Olaf, will be back with the gang on this adventure. Kristoff is there as well, and we hear he may even have a ring to give to Anna! And of course, Elsa is going to have a new song to share with everyone, titled “Into the Unknown,” which is about wanting to chase after the voice from the past that she is now inclined to follow.
The gang will also have a song together called “Some Things Never Change”, which, based off of everyone’s reactions at the Expo, is sure to become another earworm.
Frozen 2 stars Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, Idina Menzel, and Josh Gad and opens on November 22nd, 2019.
