Debut Month Revealed for “HarmonioUS” Nighttime Spectacular at Epcot, Permanent Illuminations Replacement Show

After nearly 20 years of delighting Epcot guests through music, fireworks, fire torches and more, Disney recently announced that “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” will have its final showing on September 30th, 2019. We now know that “Epcot Forever”, its limited run replacement, will debut right after on October 1st, 2019… but what of the often-forgotten permanent replacement, “HarmonioUS”? We now have the opening timeframe for that, too.

If all goes according to plan, Epcot Forever will conclude in May 2020, with “HarmonioUS” debuting that same month, just in time for the summer.

“HarmonioUS” will feature large floating set pieces, custom-built LED panels, kites with special effects, choreographed moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics, and lasers. “Epcot Forever” will continue its limited-time run into 2020 as the park endures its ongoing, multi-year transformation.

  1. so, do we have yet another example of getting rid of an original disney idea and replacing it with something from the disney catalog?

  2. I’m totally cool with the temporary replacement but the long term replacement needs to be just as EPIC & grand of a scale as ROE.

Based on its name alone, it doesn’t sound like it’s aiming that high 😪

  3. I swear every night time show is the same thing, a celebration of Disney movies/music. Why not do something unique?

  4. Well…I mean, I’m sure it will be amazing, I don’t doubt it. But this is yet again another case of deviation from the sole essence of a park itself, into more Disney IP-slapping.

  5. As a Disney shareholder, this is great news. As a Disney, EPCOT, and Illuminations fan, this is a gosh darn tragedy.

I would honestly think that the negative backlash could save/bring back ROE, but they’ve already sold a fortune in Goodbye Merch.

    Lame.
